Amitolu identifies with Aderibigbe, Adewimbi, as nominees appear before house
The Field Commander of Amotekun Corps, State of Osun, Comrade Amitolu Shittu today joined the two nominees into the Osun Security Network Agency and Amotekun corps, who appeared before the house of Assembly for screening.
It would be recalled that Governor ADEGBOYEGA OYETOLA had, on Tuesday, sent the names of Retired Brigadier General Ademola Aderibigbe, as the nominee for the position of the chairman, Amotekun Governing Board of Osun Security Network Agency; and Retired Brigadier General Abiodun Adewimbi, as the Corps Commander.
After reading the governor's letter that day, the house adjourned to today (Thursday) for the screening exercise and directed the nominees to submit 35 copies of their resume to the Parliament within 24 hours.
As a mark of honour, support and oneness, the combatant field commander of Amotekun corps, Comrade Amitolu Shittu, today joined the duo as they appeared before the state Parliament.
Speaking with newsmen, Comrade Amitolu Shittu corrected the wrong impression in some quarters that there was a division in the agency; noting that the Amotekun Osun remains indivisible.
According to him, the law that established the agency is clear and the duty of each officer is clearly stated, hence no cause for alarm.
Generals Aderibigbe and Adewimbi appreciated Comrade Amitolu Shittu for the show of camaraderie; pledging to work in unison for the success of Amotekun corps and by extension, Oyetola's administration, for the benefit of the citizens and residents of the state of Osun
